Eagle Center Homes--"Carefree Living You Will Love!"

This is our newest Home in the Building.

Jane, a quilt artist, has chosen this leaded glass door for the entrance to her home. The beveled glass creates a quilt pattern... The partial stone front brings interest and warm tones to the siding. These soft colors are the backdrop for Jane's antique white wicker furniture which she has positioned at the front of the house adding the feel of a patio front.

The kitchen is just to the left as you enter the home. Jane chose Contemporary custom cabinets designed for her home by Dawn of Janssen Design and created by Bob's Cabinet Shop in Leland, IA. The wood dyed maple cabinets have slab front doors and drawers with modern stainless steel handles customized to the size of each cabinet which she fondly refers to as 'cabinet jewelry'. The stainless steel hood with glass shroud completes the contemporary design.

The floor to ceiling pantry area is made up of custom molding applied, three panel solid doors, finished in smooth "Marshmallow" white, reflect can lights and add contrast to custom cabinetry and dark ceramic kitchen floor.

Whether eating at the bar or having friends at the formal dining table for a meal, Jane finds the kitchen not only functional but "just her style".

To the right of the entrance, is the formal dining area .  An antique brass candleabra, a find from Russia, is suspended above the center of the table. Jane’s original oil painting done by an architect friend hangs on the wall and repeats the copper color seen in the Living room.  Notice the custom crown molding at the ceiling  of the room and shown over the kitchen pantry doors giving extra detail to the Contemporary design of this home.

Jane's design studio has glass French doors and is a well lit room with ample cabinetry and shelves housing fabric of all shades and colors and books. The closet in the room is furnished with shelves providing storage for the many supplies of a quilter.

The Master bedroom houses a collection of Jane's family pieces. Her Grandmother's desk to the side of her bed doubles as her lampstand. This room also has a long built in closet with custom three panel doors in soft white. Hand hewn maple flooring adds warmth to the home and her family collection. Doors to the bedroom are glass French doors to match the doors for the studio. The Bentwood cradle was Jane's as an infant.

The chandelier designed for Jane by Schaefer Studios of Madison Lake, MN., hangs overhead to repeat the contemporary theme of her home.

The coppertone walls in the livingroom are Jane's favorite room color and complement the teak wall unit, the custom fireplace with cherrywood mantle, and maple flooring.

The open floor plan allows the furniture to be centered and directed toward the fireplace with the television over the mantle.

The tiled entrance to the walk in shower was chosen because of the quilt pattern in the decorative tile.

The red walls create contrast to the dark custom cabinets, solid surface Corian countertop, glass vessel sink and specialty lighting.

Jane pauses near her Christmas tree in her home.  The thing she says she loves most about living here is the peaceful surroundings.  When Jane arrived from Florida to walk into the newly finished home designed for her and her things, she declared at the door: “Peace to this house Luke 10:4”!
